Yeah, this is what makes living in Northern Indiana so grand, plenty of ice and power outages....stay safe this weekend. Temps are dropping to single digits tomorrow with down to 20 below wind chill. Brrrrrr.
Wednesday, I took my travel companion on its last trip, from which it didn't come home with me. I took it for a drive the day before, to...

Down here in the deep south, we had a 50-degree high yesterday. I swear, living down here is like living in a different Indiana.
Which is why we desert Indiana for three and half months in the winter. Only regret that we chose to delay our departure until Jan 2.
Texas ahoy!
Terrace-hey thanks for stopping by...the Christmas selections are pretty fresh, although I'll get more nostalgic the closer we get to the big day.
Jim-you do live in a different Indiana with half our unemployment rate and twice the necessary dollars to fund govt. We up here live in Mitch's demoralized & duped Indiana!
hey snowbird! say hello to my in-laws while you're there!
my wife and kids plan to visit them while I stay in IN and plan a "week of service" with our youth. I'm sure she got the raw end of the deal...I'm sure of it, sure.
Happy sunning.
HR,
We are having an unusual winter ourselves. The temperature has been in the teens with a possible low tonight of -3 and we have about 14 inches of snow. All of this is very out of the ordinary. Our temps this time of year are usually in the lower to mid 40's.
Despite the cold (which the news outlets are calling "bitter cold"....(haha, they don't know what bitter cold is out here), it is finally beginning to look like Christmas time.
Take care and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
PNW
right back at ya PNW.
We're having a rude awakening to what bitter cold is here this morning.
