I had the chance to enjoy the return of the Sandhill Cranes to the Jasper-Pulaski Wildlife Area with Birdman a few weeks ago. The bacon-cheeseburger and chili cheese fries at the drive-in in North Judson make the trip complete!

Birdman here.....on saturday I experienced a bird fall out in my own yard. For approximately an hour there were not only a large variety but large numbers of birds in my subdivision back yard. Blue Jays, Robins, Cedar Wax Wings,Junco's,Chickadees,White Crowned Sparrows, Cardinals.....were just everywhere. My yard was awash in birds...browsing the yard, bushes, drinking at the two fountains. You could since that something was changing.

for you non-birders out there, a bird fall out doesn't mean dead little chirpers fall to the earth, it means a change in weather pattern forces migrating birds down.

we experienced the same on a smaller scale. We had a pair of Carolina wrens stop by. I think we'll see the same Friday/Sat.
